We will also have games including a water balloon toss, a flag hunt and more and kids will be divided by age.

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, children must be supervised.

Summer Kick- Off Party On Morningstar Attracts 70 Neighbors

On Sunday, June 11th 70 neighbors gathered to celebrate the start of summer 2023! Thanks to April and Jason Anderson for hosting, sharing their yard and their bounce house, to Liz and Todd Waits for also providing their yard and to neighbor Joe Ruby for providing another bounce house which the kids enjoyed! Everyone had delicious hot dogs (thanks to Matt and Ioana Bates for the grill, Don Bean and griller John LaGreca) and ice cream from the Tongue and Cheek truck was a big hit! Thanks to Vicki Bean for the door prizes including a Fossil watch and to all those who helped with set up! Although postponed from the day before, it was a great turnout and could become an annual tradition! Let us know your thoughts! Welcome Baskets

The Welcome Basket Committee is made up of Linda Brown 214-693-1612, Ioana Bates 469-396-5480 and Vicki Bean 214-949-7805 v.bean46@yahoo.com. We put baskets with home items and food together for our new neighbors and invite them to join the North College Neighborhood Association. Please contact us if you know of a new neighbor on your block! The baskets are sponsored by the NCPNA.

Book Club

Book club 2023 just can’t be beat! These neighbors are kind, our discussions are thought provoking, and we read the best books. It was pretty much agreed across the board that “Lessons In Chemistry” was one of the best books we’ve all ever read. If you haven’t read it, be sure to pick it up so you understand the No. 2 pencils in our picture.

June book club is “Birnam Wood” by Eleanor Catton. If you’d like to join, email Hannah Spates at spateshannah@gmail.com to get on our fablulous book club newsletter.

Happy Reading!

Flag Patrol

The upcoming flag holiday is July 4th. The flags will be deployed the weekend beforehand. If you can help with this, please let Janice know at Elway100@gmail.com.

House Number Project

The house number project is still alive and well. Volunteers will make a sign at no charge for your back fence to comply with city regulations. These numbers make it easier for emergency services to find your residence.

Crime Watch Report

Normally every North College Park Crime Watch Patrol article contains information about the patrols and patrollers because we have zero crime to report. Sadly, this is not the case for the first time in many months.

We had one vacant home broken into in the middle of the day and one home had a report of vandalism. These activities are all too common in other neighborhoods. Not North College Park!!

We hope these events will remind our existing patrollers to please continue your patrols. And once again, ask for new patrollers to come on board and help keep the crime statistics in North College Park at zero where they have been for many months. Contact Doug Freeman at d1004free@aol.com to sign up.

About North College Park Neighborhood Association

NCPNA is a neighborhood association, and unlike a homeowner’s association, we do not have any authority over anyone’s property. We sponsor activities and projects to help make our neighborhood a more pleasant and safe place to live. Volunteers are always needed, and we look forward to hearing about new ways to achieve our collective goals.

Contact Robert Grinsfelder at rmgrins@aol.com if you can help with any of these activities.
