>> Yard of the Month (YOTM)
AUGUST YARD OF THE MONTH UPDATE!

Congratulations to our Yard of the Month winners!

First Place winners are Rose and John Silva, 1118 Rainbow

Runner-Up winners are Mary and Bill Barnard, 1209 Kenshire

A big thanks to Linda and Gary Vaughn for leading the YOM team this year and to our neighbors selecting our monthly winners!  If you would like to help and are not already on the team, please contact Linda.  lwvaughn48@gmail.com

We also want to thank Bruce Miller Nursery for providing the gift cards awarded to the winner and runner-up each month from May through September.  We provide special gift cards for October and our holiday selection in December.

Let’s get outside and make North College Park look great!

>>> Monthly Book Club

Last month we met at Connie LaLumia’s Home to discuss “James” by Percival Everett. As always, the discussion was a wonderful exhange of ideas and perceptions, but the company was better. So good, in fact, we don’t have a picture!

Next month’s selection is a very exciting one. We will be reading “Sensible Shoes” by Cindy Causey and the author has graciously agreed to attend our book club! If you haven’t been to a book club before, this is the one to attend!

We will be meeting at April Anderson’s home at 1111 Morningstar Trl on Saturday September 27th from 1-2:30pm.

If you’d like to join us for this book club, start suggesting books to read with us, or just meet a wonderful group of people please email spateshannah@gmail.com.

You can read our monthly newsletter right here!

>>> Crime Patrol May report

With Crime Patrol, no news is good news! Our next Crime Patrol meeting is September 4th at 6pm at Rocco’s in Richardson. Stay vigilant and talk to your neighbors.

We are ready to welcome you to Crime Watch. Please email Doug Freeman at d1004free@aol.com to join!

>>> House Number Project

We have an incredibly special house number project in NCPNPA. Volunteers will create a handmade wooden sign for your back fence to comply with city regulations. This service is FREE to members. These signs make it easier for emergency services to find your residence. Contact Doug Freeman, d1004free@aol.com for yours if you don’t have one!
