March 2026

Spring is here and we hope it brings you all the luck and sunshine you can handle!!

North College Park Neighborhood Association exists to help improve the quality of life in our neighborhood. We do this by sponsoring events during the year like National Night Out, Spring Celebration, Yard of the Month to name a few. We also promote the crime watch patrol and the flag program.

Membership dues are how we fund these activities.

We offer two membership options. A regular annual membership is $25, but if you signup with the Rotary at flagmapper.com/richardsonflags and contract for a flag your membership is $15. The program places flags six times a year on major holidays. We can offer this discount due to the work of volunteers in the neighborhood who place and pickup the flags.

Mistakes happen and we may have dropped the ball. If you think you are current, please let us know so we can sort it out.

We appreciate your interest in North College Park. If you live in the neighborhood, please let us know so we can update our records.

Your annual $25 per household membership dues provide these benefits and much more:

  • Annual Membership Dinner with guest speaker(s)
  • Spring Celebration (games, egg hunt, Easter bunny photo op, food for purchase member specials)
  • Porch Crawl (discounts on commemorative glass, food, and beverages)
  • National Night Out (Berkner band performances, emergency personnel meet & greets, and member food specials)
  • Holiday Cocoa & Cookies Event
  • Monthly Book Club
  • Crime Patrol
  • Yard of the Month
  • Flag Program (5 annual flag deployments for $40 per year fee, discount booking with NCPNA)

Small Business Spotlight

Our small business spotlight this month is about Partenope – Richardson!

Partenope is Texas‘ premier destination for Verace Pizza Napoletana – true Neapolitan pizza. They feature outstanding appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts, along with a full bar and an all-Italian wine list.

If you haven’t yet experienced the whipped feta appetizer, Mr. T, you’re missing out!

Monthly Engagement and Programs Update

>> Yard of the Month (YOTM)

Our YOTM program is on haitus until Spring. If you would like to help and are not already on the team, please contact Robert Grinsfelder at Rmgrins@aol.com

We also want to thank Bruce Miller Nursery for providing the gift cards awarded to the winner and runner-up each month from March through September.  We provide special gift cards for October and our holiday selection in December.

Let’s continue to get outside and make North College Park look great!

>>> Monthly Book Club

Our next book club will be at the Huffines Recreation Center on March 7th from 1-3pm to discuss The Correspondent by Virginia Evans.

If you’d like to join us for this book club, start suggesting books to read with us, or just meet a wonderful group of people please email spateshannah@gmail.com.

>>> Crime Patrol Report

We are ready to welcome you to Crime Watch. Please email Doug Freeman at d1004free@aol.com to join! Our monthly dinner meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at Rocco’s Italian Grill at 6pm. Dinner and a visit with our Richardson Police Representative (when available).

To participate in Crime Patrol, you can patrol as you feel led. One hour per month is the suggested service. Many patrollers use this time to walk with friends, their pets, or just enjoy time on their own knowing they’re doing their part to make the neighborhood safer.

>>> House Number Project

We have an incredibly special house number project in NCPNPA. Volunteers will create a handmade wooden sign for your back fence to comply with city regulations. This service is FREE to members. These signs make it easier for emergency services to find your residence. Contact Doug Freeman, d1004free@aol.com for yours if you don’t have one!
