Report: Patriotic Parade & Poolside Party

Thank you to everyone for making our July Patriotic Parade and Pool Party a grand success! 60 neighbors enjoyed great weather, a fun mini-parade, plenty of room to splash/float, and more tacos than we could ever need. We enjoyed the time with everyone and meeting some of you for the first time! We’re so grateful to the NCPNA board for reserving the pool and bringing the breakfast tacos. We’re extra thankful to Tricky Fish at CityLine for donating two $25 gift cards towards our incredible diaper/deodorant drive won by The Bromberg Family and The Manigold Family.
We donated 139 pounds of diapers, deodorant, and a few other items to the Network of Community Ministries!!

Book Club

Linda made yet another excellent recommendation that the whole group enjoyed! Thank you to Linda for hosting us all while we were able to discuss Mr. Texas, compare the characters to the real politicians we think they represented, and just catch up with each other since it has been a while since some of us have been able to join! One of my favorite parts of book club is how people are able to share freely and it is a very open place to share thoughts and ideas! That’s how the world is changed!
We will be meeting at Hannah Spates house on Sundial on Saturday 7/27 from 1-3pm to discuss Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano. Email Hannah at spateshannah@gmail.com for address or to join the book club email list. See you there!
Thank you for everyone’s recommendations that they have sent in! We have completed our reading list for the rest of 2024 and have a couple for 2025 such as The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson and Junkyard Girl by Carlyn Montes de Oca.
Crime Watch
Neighbors, please be vigilant about locking cars, hiding valuables, and closing your garage doors. Richardson has seen an uptick in theft with a few incidents reported in our neighborhood and College Park.

House Number Project
The house number project is alive and well. Volunteers will make a sign at no charge for your back fence to comply with city regulations. These numbers make it easier for emergency services to find your residence. Contact Doug Freeman, d1004free@aol.com if you need a sign.
Be sure your house numbers are visible from the street. Many of the curb marking have faded away.
