We’re lucky to live in a
neighborhood like NCPNA!

North College Park Neighborhood Association exists to help improve the quality of life in our neighborhood. We do this by sponsoring events during the year like National Night Out, Spring Celebration, Yard of the Month to name a few. We also promote crime watch and the flag program.

Membership dues are how we fund these activities.
We offer two membership options. A regular annual membership is $25, but if you
signup with the Rotary at flagmapper.com/richardsonflags and contract for a flag your membership is $15. The program places flags six times a year on major holidays. We can offer this discount due to the work of volunteers in the neighborhood who place and pickup the flags.Your annual $25 per household membership dues provide these benefits and much more:

  • Annual Membership Dinner with guest speaker(s)
  • Spring Celebration (games, egg hunt, Easter bunny photo op, food for purchase member specials)
  • Porch Crawl (discounts on commemorative glass, food, and beverages)
  • National Night Out (Berkner band performances, emergency personnel meet & greets, and member food specials)
  • Holiday Cocoa & Cookies Event
  • Monthly Book Club
  • Crime Patrol
  • Yard of the Month
  • Flag Program (5 annual flag deployments for $40 per year fee, discount booking with NCPNA)

the Mayor provided several updates worth noting for all residents:1. The State of the City – The Mayor suggested every resident watch this update if you haven’t already. This comprehensive 90-minute presentation delivers the most comprehensive update on the city, outlining how Richardson is leveraging innovation, collaboration, and long-term planning to strengthen quality of life and economic competitiveness.2. Healthier Texas Community Challenge – The Mayor set a goal to double the number of participants from last year’s challenge (150 to 300!). This is a free way to get more steps and movement from February 2nd-March 29th and you can join any time. When you register, be sure to select Richardson! Then download the Wellnify app to log your steps and healthy habits and search for Amir Omar and send him a challenge.Annual Meeting/Membership Rally
Our Annual Meeting and Membership Rally was a success!Almost 70 neighbors gathered at Rocco’s on February 3rd for the NCPNA annual meeting. We elected the 2026 board: Robert Grinsfelder, Janice Gromadin, Doug Freeman, Charlie Warner, April Anderson, Farrah Maldonado, Leticia (Leti) Ramos, John Slaughter, and Phyllis Slaughter. We thank and recognize Brandi Dawson and Jennifer Jackson for their service on the board over the last two years. There was also an appeal for more volunteer support with the Flag Patrol, Yard of the Month, Event planning, set-up and staffing along with the Crime Watch program. Without volunteers, we’ll be unable to continue our full list of events so make sure to pick 1-2 places to plug in and help your neighbors!

Our special guest speaker was Mayor Amir Omar. He reviewed the city’s progress in 2025 and plans for the future. He answered several questions of local interest and encouraged us to stay informed and engaged.

Thanks to those attending and helping to make the event a success!

If you were unable to attend the event, you can renew or join right here. We’re proud to be a part of such an involved neighborhood. This is a place where being a great neighbor is taken seriously. Thank you for your annual membership dues that make all of this possible.

>>> House Number Project

We have an incredibly special house number project in NCPNPA. Volunteers will create a handmade wooden sign for your back fence to comply with city regulations. This service is FREE to members. These signs make it easier for emergency services to find your residence. Contact Doug Freeman, d1004free@aol.com for yours if you don’t have one!
