Independence Day Celebration at Breckinridge Park

The NCPNA is not sponsoring a 4th of July event this year based on limited participation over the past two years. We encourage all neighbors to attend the City of Richardson’s event at Breckinridge Park.

Happy 4th of July!

Event Recap – 2nd Annual Porch Crawl

The 2nd Annual Porch Crawl was a huge success! Thank you to our incredible hosts: Shannon Butterfield, Leticia Ramos, and Brandi Dawson as well as their families for the themes, set-up and yard use.

Thank you to Joe & Kim Ruby for the absolutely clutch water slide at our 2nd stop 🛝 🙌

And finally thank you to Shiloh Hepler for taking amazing pictures throughout the event!

Braving the heat was well worth all the fun. What a blessing to live in this neighborhood and call this place home. Thank you to the NCPNA Board for an incredible event to kick off summer! Until next year🍻

We extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible! Their generosity allows us to create a memorable experience for the entire community.

Monthly Engagement and Programs Update

>> Yard of the Month (YOTM)

JUNE YARD OF THE MONTH UPDATE!

Congratulations to our June Yard of the Month winners!

First Place winners are Dan and Karen Hanke, 1108 Windsong!

Runner-Up winners are Mike and Cathy Petree, 1214 Serenade!

A big thanks to Linda and Gary Vaughn for leading the YOM team this year and to our neighbors helping to select our winners!  If you would like to help and are not already on the team, please contact Linda.  lwvaughn48@gmail.com

We also want to thank Bruce Miller Nursery for providing the gift cards awarded to the winner and runner-up each month from May through September.  We provide special gift cards for October and our holiday selection in December.

Let’s get outside and make North College Park look great!

>>> Monthly Book ClubDue to unexpected illnesses, a number of our book club fell sick in May so book club was cancelled. We picked back up in June to read Stanley Tucci’s “Taste” and gather at Linda Vaughn’s house. The turnout and chat was so great, no pictures were captured! What happens at book club, stays at book club :).

Our next book club is in July at Hannah Lord’s (fka: Hannah Spates) house (SOMEONE GOT MARRIED IN JUNE!) at 1118 Sundial on July 26th from 1-2:30pm. We’re reading “The Women” by Kristin Hannah and hope this one doesn’t make us cry the way her previous book did. If you haven’t joined us before, this is a great month to jump in and say hello!

If you’d like to join us for this book club, start suggesting books to read with us, or just meet a wonderful group of people please email spateshannah@gmail.com.

You can read our monthly newsletter right here!

>>> Crime Patrol May report

With Crime Patrol, no news is good news! Our next Crime Patrol meeting is July 9th at 6pm at Rocco’s in Richardson. Stay vigilant and talk to your neighbors.

We are ready to welcome you to Crime Watch. Please email Doug Freeman at d1004free@aol.com to join!

>>> House Number Project

We have an incredibly special house number project in NCPNPA. Volunteers will create a handmade wooden sign for your back fence to comply with city regulations. This service is FREE to members. These signs make it easier for emergency services to find your residence. Contact Doug Freeman, d1004free@aol.com for yours if you don’t have one!
