Crime Watch Report

Crime patrol members participated in the NNO kickoff event.

As the weather cools, crime is likely to pick up. It is shocking how many people leave their cars unlocked and have valuable items visible, like computers, wallets and the like. Having someone smash your window to get an item to steal can be avoided by removing anything of value from view.

As always be aware of your surroundings and take note of things which seem out of place or different. Check on neighbors you have not heard from recently. If you see something which does not seem right contact the police so they can check it out.

If you are interested in joining the crime patrol group or want to learn more, contact our crime patrol coordinator: Doug Freeman at d1004free@aol.com.

Flag Patrol

To keep our costs down we have a volunteer flag patrol who help deploy and pick up the flags. We now have over 100 flags flying in North College Park! If you are willing to help with this activity, please contact Janice Gromadin at elway100@gmail.com.

Membership + Flags

Due to increasing costs, the Rotary has increased the price of flags by $10. We are still offering a reduced membership with the flag option. Membership only is still $25, and the addition of the flag option is now a total of $65 dollars. With this option you are guaranteed five flag holidays from the time you sign up.

If you are not a member and would like to support our association, please become a member by signing up here: NCPNA.com/join

Yard Of The Month Selection

We need several neighbors to help us with our selection each month of our two YOM winners. We need several people to be available on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for about an hour once a month from April through December. Please contact Robert Grinsfelder at rmgrins@aol.com

Proper Disposal of American Flags

If you are in possession of a worn and tattered American flag you want to dispose of properly, please bring them to the home of Jerry and Judy Keylon at 1101 Windsong Trail in Richardson. The flag or flags can be left on our porch if we are not at home.

A friend of ours is a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and they will be having a flag-retirement ceremony in January 2023 and would appreciate any flag they receive.

Jerry and I will be delivering the flags to her home.

Help Plan Or Staff Our Special Events

We need more neighbors involved in helping to plan and work at our special events. These include the Spring Celebration, our Backyard Tour event, the 4th of July parade/caravan and party, our National Night Out and other new events in the works! Please contact Robert Grinsfelder at rmgrins@aol.com for more information!

About North College Park Neighborhood Association

NCPNA is a neighborhood association, and unlike a homeowner’s association, we do not have any authority over anyone’s property. We sponsor activities and projects to help make our neighborhood a more pleasant and safe place to live. Volunteers are always needed, and we look forward to hearing about new ways to achieve our collective goals.

Contact Robert Grinsfelder at rmgrins@aol.com if you can help with any of these activities.
