Small Business Spotlight

Ioana is one of our neighbours that lives on S. Briarcrest Dr with her husband and two fur babies.

She is an interior designer and together with two talented friends, Hannah and Sara, opened Line + Scale Design. They are a full-service design studio that specializes in residential projects (kitchens, bathrooms, furnishings, art & accessories, window treatments, color/paint consultations). Line + Scale creates functional and aesthetically pleasing interiors that reflect their clients’ personalities and lifestyles. They make the process easy and stress-free for their clients by meticulous planning from the beginning and by following a vetted process.

Their formal design education taught them to look beyond aesthetics. They create spaces that are functional, code-compliant, and protect the health and safety of their clients. They have the technical skills to design spaces that are logical and make use of every inch square.

Ioana, Hannah and Sara can be found on Instagram at line + scale design (@lineandscaledesign) and their website is lineandscale.com

If you have a small business you want to highlight, please email April Anderson at adawn0105@gmail.com for consideration. We want to support you!

Crime Watch Report

We met with our Crime Patrol officer and he reports that we continue to do very well.

Theft from vehicles continues to be a problem. Surprising theft of catalytic converters from vehicles has taken an uptick. Some vehicles are more vulnerable than others. The best defense is to park your vehicle in a garage or in a location where it is very visible. It takes only seconds to cut a converter out of a car with cordless power tools. In your driveway, motion sensing lighting can make a real difference.

Visible items like laptops, purses, wallets will get taken and a window broken if the door is locked. Don’t make it easy for thieves.

Be alert for porch pirates and remove your items promptly. Enlist a neighbor to pick up things if you won’t be home.

Stay alert, if you see activity in the neighborhood which does not feel right, call 911. We can always use additional crime patrol volunteers, on foot or in your vehicle. Contact our crime patrol coordinator for more information. Doug Freeman at d1004free@aol.com

About North College Park Neighborhood Association

NCPNA is a neighborhood association and, unlike a homeowner’s association, we do not have any authority over anyone’s property. We sponsor activities and projects to help make our neighborhood a more pleasant and safe place to live. Volunteers are always needed, and we look forward to hearing about new ways to achieve our collective goals.

Contact Robert Grinsfelder at rmgrins@aol.com if you can help with any of these activities.
